Three 12 oz cans of Freedom Juice sparkling agave wine — two Liberty Lime and one Auntie Sammy's Strawberry

What you're drinking

It isn't a seltzer.
It isn't a malt.

Most canned drinks on that shelf start with malt or neutral grain and get flavored on the way out the door. Freedom Juice starts somewhere else — pure blue weber agave nectar, fermented in tanks the same way Napa has made wine for a hundred years, then infused with real fruit and carbonated.

Agave, not malt

Pure blue weber tequila agave nectar. Same plant as tequila, different craft.

Fermented, not distilled

It starts in a tank in the Napa Valley, like wine. Nothing goes through a still, so it drinks at 7%, not 40%.

Canned by The Ghost

Produced and canned by The Ghost of Autumn Wine Co. in Napa, California. That seal is on every can.

Freedom Juice is a sparkling agave wine produced in Napa, California. It sits in the same cooler as hard seltzer and RTD cocktails but it isn't either one — agave base, wine-style fermentation, 7% ABV, gluten free, and a price point people remember. We ship pallets and we show up to pour.

      Questions people actually ask

      Freedom Juice, explained.

      What is sparkling agave wine?

Sparkling agave wine is made by fermenting agave nectar the way a winery ferments grape juice, then carbonating it. Freedom Juice uses pure blue weber agave — the same species used for tequila — but nothing is distilled, so it finishes at 7% ABV instead of spirit strength. It is not a malt beverage and not a hard seltzer.

      Is Freedom Juice gluten free?

Yes. Freedom Juice is made from fermented agave rather than barley or any other grain, and every can carries a gluten free mark.

How much alcohol is in a can of Freedom Juice?

7% alcohol by volume in a 12 fl oz (355 mL) can.

Is Freedom Juice a hard seltzer?

No. Most hard seltzers are built on fermented cane sugar or a malt base with flavor added afterward. Freedom Juice ferments blue weber agave nectar in tanks, then infuses real fruit and carbonates it. Different base, different process, different taste.

      Is Freedom Juice tequila?

No. Tequila is distilled. Freedom Juice is fermented and never distilled, which is why it drinks at 7% ABV. It shares the plant with tequila, not the process.

What flavors does Freedom Juice come in?

Two: Liberty Lime, which is sharp and dry, and Auntie Sammy's Strawberry, which is fruit-forward without being sweet. The 6-pack is available as all Lime, all Strawberry, or Mixed.

      Where is Freedom Juice made?

Napa, California. It is produced and canned by The Ghost of Autumn Wine Co., and the canning seal appears on every label.

Where can I buy Freedom Juice?

Order a 6-pack directly from this site, or find us pouring at beer and wine festivals across California and Arizona — the current schedule is on this page. If your local shop or bar doesn't carry it yet, ask them to email liberty@freedomjuice1776.com.

How does a retailer or distributor carry Freedom Juice?

Email liberty@freedomjuice1776.com with your business name, market, license type, and estimated volume, and we'll send specs, pricing, and case configuration. We ship pallets and we staff tastings.
